Eric Hooke | Director of Golf

Eric was born and raised in Monterey, VA. He was introduced to the game of golf at the age of 18 months and it has been a life long love ever since. His Grandfather George and father, Jerry were the founders of Needle's Eye Golf Course in Monterey. His passion is helping people enjoy the game and enabling them to find the swing that works for them, one that is repeatable and built on the a solid base of good fundamentals.

He enjoyed much success at the junior, college and amateur golf level. Becoming the 1995 and 1997 Group A State High School Champion and continuing on to Radford University where he was the Big South Conference Rookie of the year. Eric competed for many years in VSGA tournaments competively, reaching the semi-finals of the 2001 Virginia State Amatuer and playing in multiple Virginia State Open Championships.  

Eric then spent 7 years working for Don Ryder, the nationally recognized past Director of Golf at the Homestead Resort where he worked as an assistant golf professional and taught in the Homestead Golf Advantage School. He had the opportunity to learn from many of the state's best teachers as well as the opportunity to pick up valuable information from former PGA Tour Pros along the way.

He resides in Staunton, VA with his wife Stacie and daughter Lily.
